Prayer of a Priest After
Holy Communion
O Lord, free me from all my sins, and all my attachment to
sin. Repair and rebuild my poor heart according to Thy
Holy Will. At least fill it to overflowing with Thy Life, Thy
Love and Thy Grace. Grant that Thy may spill over in
abundance, and without hindrance, from my heart to the
hearts of all those I meet, especially those to whom I give
Thee in Blessing or Holy Communion, and to others,
according to Thy Will, and from them to others, and others,
and others, until finally the whole world is enkindled with
the Fire of Thy Love and all be willing to carry their crosses
& wear their crown of thorns with dignity and integrity -
without sin - especially those who are now non-believers,
anti-believers, non-practicing believers, poorly practicing
believers, sinners like me, grievous sinners like
pornographers and their victims, O Lord, rescue me, rescue
all of us - especially our young people - for chaste celibacy
outside of Marriage, and chaste fidelity within.
Amen!
Spiritual Communion
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I
love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into
my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You
sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I
embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself
wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
Prayer to our Lady, Health
of the Sick
O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a
sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you,
Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you
participated in Jesus' pain, with steadfast faith.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we
need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as
you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might
return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to
the Father's will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who
took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows
to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the
Resurrection. AMen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother
of God. Do not despise our pleas--we who are put to the
test--and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and
blessed Virgin.
Morning Offering Prayer
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer
You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day
for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with
the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in
reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my
relatives and friends, and in particular for the intentions
of the Holy Father.
Amen.
For Peace
Dismayed by the strife and jealousy that are bringing
ruin to peoples and nations, we turn, O Jesus, to Thy
most loving Heart as our only hope. O God of mercy,
with tears we invoke Thee to end wars and the horror of
war. O King of Peace, we humbly implore the peace for
which we long.
From Thy Sacred Heart Thou didst shed over the world
in Thy life divine charity, so that discord might end and
love alone might reign over men. During Thy life on
earth, Thy Heart beat with tender compassion for the
sorrow of men. In this day, when hate often dominates,
may Thy divine Heart be once more moved to pity.
Inspire rulers and peoples with counsels of meekness.
Heal the discords that tear nations asunder. Thou who
didst shed Thy Precious Blood that they might live as
brothers, bring men together once more in loving
harmony. To the cry of the Apostle Peter: "Save us,
Lord, we perish," Thou didst answer words of mercy
and didst still the raging waves. Deign now to hear our
trustful prayers and give back to the world order and
peace.
And do thou, O most holy Virgin, as in other times of
distress, be our help, our protection, and our safeguard.
Amen
